Description: Earl Scruggs and his band (including his sons) were on the road in search of musicians and music that could push his banjo picking styles. He tried Rock and Roll, Classical, Bluegrass, Country, and Mountain music. The film also includes Doc Watson and Merle, and Randy Scruggs. Backstage at the Grand Old Opry with Bill Monroe and his band, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, & Roger McGuinn & The Byrds and others -- each playing with Earl and his banjo.
