Improving Video Quality
When you purchase a DRM free video from a Zipidee seller, you have the option to download and play your purchased Digi-Good with applications other then the Zipidee player. For media playback Zipidee recommends the VLC media player, a free cross-platform media player supporting a large number of multimedia formats. Please note that VLC media player is not affiliated with Zipidee in anyway. Zipidee does not provide support for any third party applications. VLC media player is avilable for download at www.videolan.org
You may also convert your DRM free video for use with a personal media player such as an iPod. Please see the section below on personal media players for more information.
Playing and Converting FLV Video Files for Play on Alternate Media Devices
FLV files (currently available as downloads from some Zipidee widgets and Zipidee site DRM-free audio and video files) can be played directly in some media devices and on computers running Windows or Mac OS via drag and drop to the free Adobe Media Player (please note, this is not the same as Adobe Flash Player).
If your device does not support FLVs, there are many free software applications available on the Internet to help with file conversion.
Windows
If you are using a computer running the Windows operating system, Zipidee recommends downloading the appropriate video converter from Videora. Videora offers specialized video conversion applications for many popular personal media players including iPod and PSP. Visit www.videora.com/en-us/Converter for more information.
Mac OS X with iPod
If you are using a computer running the Mac OS X operating system, Zipidee recommends downloading an appropriate video converter from iSquint. iSquint is free and easy to use, and specialized for iPod conversion. Visit www.isquint.org for more information.
Other Configurations
Zipidee understands that there are many different video playback technologies available. If one of the above solutions will not work for you, consider exploring one of the applications below.
MPEGStreamClip - Handy media converter for Windows and Mac.
Any Video Converter - Free all-in-one video converting tool with an easy-to-use graphical interface.
ffmpegx - A free graphic user interface designed to easily operate more than 20 powerful Unix open-source video and audio processing tools.
Unzipping a Zip File
Some audio files purchased from Zipidee are contained in a compressed zip archive. To access the files simply double click the zip archive. In some Windows configurations a window may open showing you the audio files without extracting them from the zip archive. To extract the files, right-click on the zip archive and choose "Extract Here". If you have trouble locating an application that can extract the files you can download the free Stuffit Expander for Windows or or Mac OS X.
